Build 2D Horizontal Sample Network Using Rocinante GUI

* Download development version GNU Gama, Rocinante, Expat from above links, or compile your own source code executables from GNU Gama/Rocinante sites

* open Rocinante GUI and create new file name
* Click on Network - Network Settings and enter project description.

- Click Parameter "Tot. Abs." to 10000 (millimetres) appropriate for autonomous GPS coordinates, "Sig." to "apriori" & "Update-Constrained-Coordinates" to "Yes" Gama tries to improve approximate coordinates of adjusted points and then repeats adjustment.

- Click Network - Set angles "right handed" and orientation of axes to "EN", set desired angle/direction input format either degrees or grads.

- Click St. Dev - set appropriate standard deviation for direction, angle and distance observations

* Note: observations are input from each standpoint as a cluster of observations
* Add new 2D Points (point name, X, Y, Type (fixed, free, constrained)
  1 6683   8177 constrained
  2 6649   8151 constrained
  3 6678   8114  constrained
  1a 6713   8128 constrained
* Insert new cluster (select standpoint and enter "from point" and orientation - usually zero degrees)
* Highlight standpoint (right panel) and select Insert Observations (top menu bar) - enter directions/distances - From, To, Type, Value, St.Dev, and click add button, repeat for each observation. Then click show observations to view them. You can right click to edit if desired.
From To Type Value St. Dev. (mm - sec)
  1 4 direction 00-00-00 20
  1 3 direction 37-39-45 20
  1 2 direction 92-05-55 20
  1 4 distance 56.036 5
  etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
* Insert new cluster (next point) and complete input of direction/distance observations
* Click Network - Show All
* Save input file
* Click Solve and review output results and save output file - that's it
